“…because over the past 4 meetings I’ve began to figure out what works and what doesn’t in the way I market my business. BOSS helped me realize that it’s about expressing to others what it is I enjoy about what I do!”

These are the words of Jared, one of our BOSS Members, this morning as he reflected back on our event last night.

It still gives me quivers to hear these stories and many others which prove the incredible impact we are having on each and every business owner we work with. I am constantly motivated by the quality of the community of businesses we are bringing together to really leverage off each other in some of the most creative ways possible. After asking BOSS Members to share their BOSS Success Stories at the beginning of last night, we learnt about various new partnerships, friendships, and referrals all starting to form within BOSS. But don’t take my word for it, why not call some of our very own members to find out how they’re benefiting first hand!

Following that, BOSS Members had the chance to interact with those at their table, understand what they need to do to be present to possibilities, and even learned how to use their postal code to find valuable marketing and census data from Stats Canada to construct their marketing plans.

Over in the guest room, I didn’t just tell guests what BOSS was like, I showed it to them!

We did a mini BOSSlearning session on best practices in networking, a networking icebreaker to get to know others in the room, I challenged them to find their “sentence”, and finally we dived into how exactly the BOSSystem can help their business grow!

After a quick break we brought the BOSS Members and Guests together for the infamous “Triad Power Networking” (TPN). Now if you haven’t experienced TPN yet… well you haven’t really experienced business networking. Created by BOSS, the activity allows you not just a chance to meet other people, but instead start a conversation. Why is this important? Well, conversations lead to a better understanding of one another, and a better understanding of one another leads to leads!

In the end it’s about being creative about how you get business owners to connect… and well that’s what BOSS is best known for.
